I'm hoping to change the shop a little over the coming months by introuducing more handmade items & goods by independent designers. Cute poppet pouchs by fambee & gorgeous zakka letter sets from japan. I had to buy a letter set of each for myself as i love the sweet handmade collage style designs!

Sorry guys for lack of news/updates. Had a little break in wales for a week & have been a bit poorly this week so my shop & blog have not been worked on :( I still have new products to add for you! mainly stationary & lovely little greeting cards from japan.

I thought id share a few holiday snaps with you, i could quite happily live in wales, so many preety places to visit and a lot of inspiration around!

I went right ahead and put some things in my etsy shop already! I actually signed up to etsy 2 years ago when it opened and havent used my account until now so with a little energy spurt last night i have made a start.

I forgot to mention yesterday that just incase you hadnt heard of etsy its an online marketplace for buying and selling all things handmade. As its based in the US, all listings are in US dollars but anyone can sign up and sell regardless of location :)
Another special online market for handmade & unique items is dawanda.com which looks very good too! This one is based over here in europe and lists items in euros. I plan to sign up very soon & have already seen some very pretty items.

I am off to crochet club tonight at my local wool shop! I look forward to it every month and will probably spend a bit too much money on wool as i love browsing the shop during the evening while im there.

I have been on etsy a lot recently admiring all the beautfiful handmade goodies and adding things to my wishlist. I'm hoping to finish my own etsy shop soon and make little items to sell each week to go alongside my main shop.

i thought id share a little of what ive been up to this week

one : we took a short trip over to a small local village called crawley where several of the residents had opened their gardens for the public. we only got rained on once, and managed to see 4 beautiful gardens which were beyond gorgeous! I managed to squeeze in some tea & cake too.

two: yesterday was my younger sisters degree show at winchester school of art. she has just completed a degree in fashion design & we attended her runway show at the great hall (so proud!) just behind the stage was king arthurs round table ;) It was such a lovely setting & all the students did so well. then back to the university to see the exibition where each student had designed their own stand for displaying their work.

im hoping to start making a few crafty things soon as its been so long! yesterday I bought some pretty vintage & new fabrics online, im just waiting for them to arrive. I'm thinking about starting some corsages, fabric jewellery, brooches & lavender bags & then hopefully adding a couple to the shop. what do you think?

I just read about this amazing new documentary thats being made by Faythe Levine & Micaela O'herlihy. They are making a movie about the new wave of craft. It looks so good already, i hope im able to watch it over here in the UK when its released!

fredflare.com is holding their annual next big thing contest! If you're a crafter/designer/artist or just love making things then you can submit one of your creations for possible sale on the fredflare website! I took part last year and was lucky enough to be chosen as one of the 36 winners. It was great fun taking part & the fredflare team were lovely to work with. The deadline for this years contest is April 20th, 2007.

You might have noticed i started a little fanzine a couple of months ago, i decided it was being a bit neglected so i'm going to combine it with the blog! From now on you'll see lots of fun & different posts here as well as the usual shop updates.

over the last few weeks i have added a few new peices to the shop. cute pocket mirrors featuring some fab illustrations by a few of my favourite designers. knitted cakes in sweet colours for decoration or as pincushions!
I have also created a new craft category which i hope you'll enjoy. Theres only a few items there so far but i have plans to expand!

i have just finished adding lots of new decole items to the shop. Decole is a favourite japanese designer of ours so we're always excited to buy new stock from them! Supplies are limited so there might be a possbility we wont be getting anymore of these particular designs after they have sold out. Decole designs often only run for a short amount of time before they are discontinued from the supplier. the ones below are from the autumn 2006 catalogue :)
